Good Nature is a small, independently owned microbrewery & Tap Room located in Hamilton, NY
This is a preliminary plan. It is an idea how the site could be laid out and what the property could look like. Overall aesthetic: will appear from the road as a neatly kept Farm & Visitor Center with a more modern feel. This will be a state of the art facility built with sensitivity to its surroundings. Landscaping will include including trees, shrubs, hops, and a“beer garden” that will feature herbs, spices, fruits & vegetables used in the brewing process.
The project involves the construction of a roughly 6000 ft2 building to serve as a brewing facility with ancillary retail and event space including a tasting room. Building will feature board and batten exterior and stone base to fit in with existing landscape. Retail space would be devoted to samplings, tours, classes, entertainment, and other public and private events such as beer dinners featuring guest chefs from local restaurants, receptions, and private parties. GNB would sell beer to enjoy onsite or to take home, as well as merchandise and local food products. Seasonal retail space would include an outdoor patio and recreation space to accommodate live music, food and beer festivals, outdoor farmers’ markets, art exhibitions, weddings and more. The existing 3500 ft2 building would be renovated for use as warehouse and office space.
We are in the engineering and local approval phase of an expansion project involving the construction of a new brewery, tasting room and outdoor beer garden on a five acre parcel located just south of the Village of Hamilton Center on the west side of NYS Route 12B. An existing building will be renovated for use as warehouse and office space. The property is currently and will continue to be home to Colgate University\’s Community Garden. Events and activities at the brewery will draw tourists from all over the State, and direct people to downtown Hamilton to our Tap Room, and to patronize local businesses.
