We’re excited to release our first ever Pumpkin Ale this year! We’re brewing up a special batch of our Flagship American Brown Ale, but adding roasted spiced pumpkins to the mash.
We wouldn’t be Good Nature if we brewed a pumpkin ale with canned pumpkin mush or pumpkin extract. Fresh, Local Pumpkins are now in season here in Central NY! (Ever wonder how on earth you’re getting a pumpkin ale in July!? To be fair, our season is a little later around here!)
We picked up these just-harvested beautiful pie pumpkins from Mosher’s Farm just a couple miles up the road from the Brewery. Our Master Brewer, and former chef, Matt Whalen prepared a delectable pumpkin pie spice blend, and The Hamilton Eatery is busy roasting them up in their ovens today (9/24).
Just a couple short weeks, and you’ll be enjoying it in your pint! We aim to release this beer in time for the Lake Placid Brewfest on October 11th.
Can’t wait 2 weeks? On Thursday, 9/25, we’ll be pouring our Flagship American Pale Ale over some of these scrumptious pumpkin chunks on the Randall for Randall Day.
